Webber campaign asks the Jewish community and supporters of Israel to join them in calling on Mikie Sherrill to reject Cory Booker's anti-semitic photo

Whippany, NJ - Senator Cory Booker was pictured Friday evening holding a sign with an anti-semitic slogan inspired by the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement reading “From Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go”. The photo was posted  by the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights on Twitter.

Jay Webber said "Anti-Semitism must be confronted forcefully whenever it rears its ugly head, like it has here with Senator Booker. Make no mistake- in Congress I will always be a supporter of Israel and not be shy about standing up for the Jewish community in North Jersey or in the Holy Land."

"Senator Cory Booker has been traveling the country, carelessly pandering for presidential primary votes for months," said Webber for Congress campaign spokesman Harrison Neely. "Now he's given the credibility of a United States Senator from New Jersey to an anti-semitic movement and no matter how many statements his team puts out on his behalf, that picture will never be undone.

"Mikie Sherrill is developing an alarming pattern of standing silently by the side of leaders in her party as they do wrong by the people of New Jersey," Neely continued. "She is happy to campaign as the running-mate of corrupt Senator Bob Menendez, she accepts support from Governor Murphy as he raises billions of dollars in taxes and now Mikie is nowhere to be found as one of her biggest cheerleaders, Cory Booker, rallies with the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights. We are asking that the Jewish community and supporters of Israel in the 11th Congressional District join the Webber campaign in calling on Mikie Sherrill to reject this anti-semitism."
